Maybe it’s because we live in a cold weather climate, but there’s something about the pairing of rum and coffee that makes us feel all warm and energized at the same time. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorite and most popular rum and coffee cocktails, from the simple and familiar to the unexpected and surprising:
Rum and Coffee Cocktail #1: Bulletproof Coffee
A Montanya twist on the ever-popular coffee and butter trend. While we’re not suggesting this as an alternative to your morning pick-me-up, sometimes it’s nice to add a little something extra to your cuppa. Rum and Coffee Cocktail #2: Wake Up Call
Head over to the recipe collection, and you’ll see the the Wake Up Call is actually two recipes in one. We pair cold brew coffee and Montanya Oro in each, but one version borrows a few tricks from the ever popular Maharaja. It includes a special Turbinado sugar rim with extra spices, vanilla-infused Montanya Platino, and Maharaja syrup. It’s definitely worth the extra steps, but when you want to keep things simple, there’s a three-ingredient version too!
Rum and Coffee Cocktail #3: Sledgehammer
Coffee with a kick! The base for this rum cocktail is a roasted jalapeño infused Montanya Platino Rum. Add in some cold brew coffee, simple syrup, and whipped cream, and you’ve got yourself a Sledgehammer.
