In the Media: The Rum Ration
You have to love the creativity in this blog’s name: The Rum Ration pays tribute to the daily rum allotted to Royal Navy soldiers, and now celebrates what its writers see as the world’s most diverse spirit. So of course it’s nice to see Montanya receive a couple of recent mentions, plus coverage of a recent virtual event that our founder Karen Hoskin attended:
Montanya Rum was featured at Europe’s first virtual rum festival.
On a recent May Saturday, RumCask hosted a virtual rum festival, and Karen had the pleasure of hosting a tasting of Montanya rums. You might wonder how that worked, given that it was a virtual event. But the festival was so well organized that each participant received rum samples prior to the tasting—just one of many reasons this event blew Karen away. So wonderful to see the Rum Ration give it such a thorough recap, including a look at Montanya.
You can imagine what a pleasant surprise it was, not long after the first post, to find a review of Montanya Valentia. We especially love the tribute to Valentia as a spirit that personifies “liquid courage.” A pretty good reputation to have!
