Montanya DIY Holiday Gift Ideas!

Montanya Rum Wassail
RUM WASSAIL
Wassail:
(Mull the following ingredients in a pot)
1/2 gallon Big B’s or other locally loved cider
32 oz cranberry juice
1 orange (stuffed with 5 cloves)
2 tsp cloves
2 tsp allspice
7 whole cinnamon sticks
Bring to a low simmer, stirring occasionally. Simmer for 20-30 minutes to mull in the flavors. Let cool, strain and transfer to your decorative jars or bottles. You may add the rum or gift the Wassail alongside the Montanya Oro rum in its own separate bottle.
(Wassail lasts up to 30 days in the refrigerator.)
Cocktail Recipe to Include on your card:
In an Irish Coffee mug
6.5 oz Wassail (see recipe below)
Heat in microwave for 1 minute or until hot.
Add 2 oz Montanya Oro rum
Garnish with orange slice punched with cloves.
HOT BUTTERED RUM
Hot Buttered Rum Mix:
1 quart best-quality vanilla ice cream, softened
1 pound salted butter
1 pound brown sugar
1 pound Confectioner’s sugar
Mix all ingredients in blender, Vitamix on low speed, or in a bowl with durable mixer.
Scoop the mix into a beautiful gift jar or container, wrap with a bow, and affix the printed cocktail recipe and gift message to the bow. Give the mix alongside a bottle of Montanya Oro Rum (to be added at the recipients preferred strength at the time of mixing the cocktail.)
(Hot Buttered Rum Mix can be stored in the freezer for up to four months.)

2.5 oz Montanya Oro Rum
Top the cocktail with whipped cream.
