A Best for the World Company
We are so excited to finally announce that Montanya Distillers is a Best For The World 2019 honoree because of our environmental, workforce, community, supplier, customer, and corporate governance practices! That means that we rank in the top 10% of all B Corps across all impact areas, which puts us in the company of businesses we greatly admire, like Patagonia, TOMS and Dr. Bronner’s.
We’re also the only distillery to earn spots on two Best For lists—Best For The World Overall and Best for the Environment. We’re so pleased because we are always striving to raise the bar when it comes to being a responsible and successful business.
Unlike traditional corporations, we (and our fellow Certified B Corporations) measure success according to more than profit. We also take into account our impact on all our stakeholders, from employees and suppliers to the community and the environment. As a result, the B Corp certification is like a Fair Trade certification, but for the whole business instead of a single product or service.
To become a B Corp, a company has to receive a score of at least 80 points on a comprehensive assessment (we’re talking 200 detailed questions that B Lab, the global nonprofit that certifies and supports Certified B Corporations, verifies).
